BMI Calculator Tool The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. It is widely used in the Health & Fitness industry to monitor body fat levels and progress, however it does have its limitations. For example, a person with muscular body composition with their abdominal muscles plainly in view and a low body fat may weigh heavier than average as muscle weighs heavier than fat as it is more densely packed. This may indicate they are overweight on the BMI scale!
