This section explains how we personalise fitness.uk.net diets to YOU and your goals.

To create a personalised diet for a client we need to collect some data.  This includes the following:

Sex  / Age / Height / Goals / Weight (lbs) / Body fat percentage (optional) / BMI / Blood pressure / Activity level / Current Diet

Do not worry if you do not have these readings to hand - we can advise how to get them. All you will need is a set of scales and a recent medical examination.  Weight can be measured at home and blood pressure can be taken by booking an appointment with your GP free of charge. Your BMI can be calculated using our BMI Tool and body fat can be calculated using our Body Fat Tool. The diets and programmes we create are unique to you and are constructed by a qualified fitness professional.

From this information we are able to work out your basal metabolic rate and create a diet designed to strip fat or build lean mass. The diet will give you a breakdown of how many carbohydrates, protein and fats should be consumed, how many calories this equates to, how frequently you should eat and give sample meal plans. Once you have this breakdown you can use our Recipes and Supplement section to help you maintain and vary your diet and give you examples of meals to prepare. Combining a Training Programme with your Diet

To optimise your diet gains and especially if you are dieting for weight loss then we strongly recommend that you combine your diet with a personalised Training Programme. When a diet like this is combined with a resistance / cardiovascular training plan once again specific to your goals and abilities then your body composition will change. You will increase your muscle tone and mass and as a result your body will adjust storing less fat. This will help to ensure the weight you lose stays off. Training also has the benefit of stimulating the body into the production of feel good hormones called Endorphins which reduce stress. People of ANY ability will benefit from a personalised Training Programme - you go at your own pace.

As a result of combining a sound nutritional plan with a training programme specific for your goals, you will begin to experience a new way of life which will have a positive effect on your self confidence.
